Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy offers an opportunity to understand more deeply the ways in which we think, feel and relate to others and the experiences that have shaped these patterns over time.
Some people begin therapy in response to a particular difficulty or period of distress. Others arrive with a less easily defined sense that something in their life or relationships is not as they would like it to be. Often, the reasons for seeking therapy become clearer through the work itself.
My approach is integrative, allowing me to draw upon different therapeutic perspectives according to the individual rather than working within a single prescribed model.
Alongside exploratory psychotherapy, my training in CBT enables me to introduce a more structured and practical approach where appropriate. This can be particularly valuable when working with anxiety, overthinking, perfectionism and established patterns of thought or behaviour.
